After a rough start to their season, the Moorestown High School girls' swim team appears to be rounding into shape.
The Quakers won their second straight meet, after dropping its first three, beating Lenape 102-68 in a South Jersey Swim League Caribbean Division matchup Tuesday night at the Burlington County College pool.
Moorestown won seven of nine individual events, all by different swimmers, and coach Emily Kennedy took the opportunity to get her younger swimmers meet experience.

"A meet like this gives me an opportunity to move some people around and see what events they can swim," Kennedy said. "I know what my studs can do but it's the other kids who will be in the outside lanes that I'm getting to see now."
Dani Baskin, Catherine Levins, Kristin Batezel and Margaret Wilson got the Quakers started on the right foot with a first-place effort in the 200-yard medley relay.

"Margaret Wilson is a girl who wanted to go out for the basketball team," Kennedy said. "When she didn't make the varsity she decided to swim. She's not in the best of shape yet, but she's going to be a big help to me down the road."
Individually, Sam Travinia won the 200 free and Emily Lubin finished first in the 50 free.
After the break, the Quakers' captains, Meghan Miceli and Greta Schneider, posted back-to-back wins in the 100 butterfly and 100 free.
Then Levins captured the 500 free, Baskin finished first in the 100 backstroke and Patricia Fox won the 100 breaststroke.
The Quakers ended the meet with Rachel Kasmierski, Alex Battaglia, Levins and Schneider winning the 400 free relay.
All in all it was a very productive meet for this young, developing Quakers swim team.
"I think we are really starting to come together," Schneider said. "We have a lot of new swimmers. They got to swim and contribute on relays. They're excited. It's a great atmosphere."
