RCBC's Third Science Slam Set For May 5

Rowan College at Burlington County is inviting residents to get in touch with their inner scientist at its third annual Science Slam. Science Slam features activities that aim to stimulate interest in STEM and inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists and health professionals.
Attendees will learn about things such as investigating a crime scene for evidence, traveling to the Space Station via Virtual Reality, blood typing, using mathematics and data to discover the evolution of measurements, drone flying, robot fighting and toy car racing, among other topics.
This year’s event is set for Sunday, May 5, noon to 4 p.m. at the college’s Mount Laurel Campus. The event is free and open to the community.

The STEM division at Rowan College at Burlington County has become a top destination for students thanks to 3+1 paths to Rowan University that include computing and informatics, biology, mechanical engineering technology, and electrical engineering technology, according to college officials.
