September 11 Remembrance Ceremony To Take Place In Burlington Co.
The seven victims who were Burlington County residents or had a strong connection to the county will be honored at this ceremony.

WESTAMPTON, NJ —Burlington County will hold a remembrance ceremony on the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, in memory of those lost and in honor of those they left behind.
The ceremony will be 11 a.m. on September 11 outside the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center in Westampton, the county commissioners announced. A piece of steel from the World Trade Center is displayed at the training center.
Keynote speakers are New Jersey State Police Major Frederick Fife, who leads statewide intelligence operations, and Virtua Health Emergency Management Coordinator Phyllis Worrell, who responded to Ground Zero in 2001 to help with search and rescue.

Along with the speeches, there will be a bagpipe processional and wreath laying, and the seven victims who were Burlington County residents or had a strong connection to the county will be honored.
The remembrance ceremony is open to the public; seating is limited.

The ceremony was organized by the Burlington County Commissioners and County Department of Public Safety, as well as the Burlington County Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs and EMS Chiefs. This is the second year the county has held a remembrance ceremony.
