Wanted Sex Offender May Be Hiding Out In NJ State Parks, Cops Say

TRENTON, NJ — A sex offender, recently released from prison, is wanted by authorities and may be hiding out in New Jersey state parks in Burlington or Ocean counties, New Jersey State Parks Police said.
Theodore Blackson, 34, whose last known mailing address to authorities was in Lawnside, was released from prison on April 4, according to New Jersey's database for registered sex offenders.
He had been serving time for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old female acquaintance, that same website said.

Blackson usually wears a green camo jacket and has been known to panhandle, the New Jersey State Parks Police said.
Blackson is known to visit Wharton State Forest and Bass River State Forest. He has also been known to visit Batona Trail where he has camped from Carranza Road in Tabernacle to Bass River State Forest in Bass River Township, said NJ Parks Police.

Blackson stands 5 feet, 11 inches and is a light-skinned black male, according to the New Jersey State Parks Police.
He weighs about 160 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair, a tattoo on his left arm with the words 'Kathy Donna' and an image of a heart, a scar on the front of his left shoulder and a tattoo on his arm of a golden key cross, according to New Jersey's database for registered sex offenders. That website did not indicate which arm the latter tattoo can be found.
