Tree Pruning Anyone?

tree pruning project resumes this summer

For the past few summers the Tree Preservation and Planting Committee has done a Tree Pruning Project. They trimmed many branches of trees which hung lower than 7 feet from the sidewalk. This simple, but effective, effort made streets more presentable and safer for pedestrians.

This summer we will again pull out our lopers and are looking for additional volunteers to assist with this project. This is done once a week, generally on Thursday mornings from 9:00 to about 10:30. Each week an area is selected, which has brush pick scheduled the following week, so that trimmings can be left for Public Works pick up. If you’ve got the time, we’ve got the project for you! No experience necessary! We provide on the job training with no power tools or ladders.

Please contact the committee at moorestowntrees@gmail.com. We’ll add you to our weekly emailing list and send you information on dates, times, and locations.
