Water Treatment, Affordable Housing Among Issues Facing Moorestown In 2017

What will residents be talking about this year?

MOORESTOWN, NJ — In a year in which New Jersey will elect a new governor for at least the next four years, there are no municipal elections in Moorestown. However, three Board of Education members will be up for re-election in 2017.

The terms of Caryn Shaw, Peter Palko and Ann Marie Reyher all expire at the end of the year. The deadline to register to run in the election will be July 31, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.

Moorestown will have a new mayor, and that mayor will be elected by their fellow members of council at the reorganization meeting on Tuesday night, Jan. 3, 7 p.m., at the municipal building.
