Whiz Kids: WAMS Film Festival Winners

○      Whiz Kids: Winners of the 2nd annual Wammy Awards

○      Whiz Kid's School: William Allen Middle School

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Twenty-three students entered their original films in the WAMS Film Festival. Films had to be five minutes or shorter in length. Awards were given in six categories.

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Anna Blatcher and Emily Foreman won the Animation Wammy for their film Clay Guy. Hunter Miller, Tom Wagner, Spencer Ross and James Tiver won the Tricky Video Wammy for their film Reverse O Rama. Tara Layser and Kylie Davis won the Montage Wammy for their film 8th Grade Video Montage. Malcolm Cills won the Making a Difference Wammy for his film No Violence at WAMS. Matt Lubin, Mike Macaluso, Alex Musgnug, Alex Paglione and Jared Payne won the Short Story Wammy for their film Wamster. Anna Blatcher won the Rising Star Award, given to the student that shows great potential and creativity in the art of movie making for her film Beautifully Alive. Awards were given out at during the WAMS Film Festival May 16.
