Woman Checked On Infant Girls Illegally, Burlington Co. Cops Say
The woman, Love Hodge of Palmyra, tried to enter several homes with young girls, according to police.
MAPLE SHADE, NJ — A Burlington County woman was charged with impersonating a public servant and burglary after falsely claiming to work for a state agency, according to the Maple Shade Police Department.
Additional charges were pending against Love Hodge, 29, of Palmyra as of Sunday, police said.
Love went to several residences with infant girls in Maple Shade, Mount Holly and the city of Camden in late July, according to police. Love told whoever answered the door at each residence that she was employed by the New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency and wished to check on the infant girl, according to police.

She never presented any identification to back up her claim, police said.
In the Maple Shade incident, Love "was only concerned with the victim’s five-month-old daughter and not the other child in the residence," according to police.

She left the Maple Shade residence and "the victim did not think any suspicious of the incident but was then shown a social media post that depicted the same female posing as a [Department of Child Protection and Permanency] worker in another town and contacted police," the Maple Shade Police Department said.
Love was in the Burlington County Jail as of Sunday, according to police.
"If someone comes to your residence claiming to be a public servant and they are not recognizable, you have the right to request identification and if still not satisfied, contact your local police department," the Maple Shade Police Department said.
