$3K Worth of Scholarships Available to Graduating Morristown High Girls

Three soon-to-graduate female Morristown High School students could earn $1,000 scholarships each by filling out an application before April, thanks to the Morristown Women’s Club.

The club announced this week it would be accepting applications for the scholarships from any girl planning to attend a two- or four-year college.

Applications are due April 1 and can be picked up in the Morristown High School Guidance Office. As part of the process, applicants will be required to attend a tea at the Women’s Club in Morristown on Friday, May 9 to meet the members of the scholarship committee, the release said.

Guidance counselors will notify the winners and those names will be announced at the annual Morristown High School Awards Assembly in June.

Funding of the scholarships comes from various projects conducted by the Women’s Club during the course of the year, such as its Rummage Sale and 50/50 drawing.
