5K Frantic Fun Run Tuesday at Fosterfields

Event to take place on June 28

A rare opportunity to participate in a run through the historic Fosterfields farm is coming up on June 28, with the Morris County Park Commission’s Frantic Fun Run.

The Morris County Park Commission announcement reads:

Race through history, on a cross-country style trail, blazing through the heart of Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township. The event is open to varying skill levels. Beyond a majestic backdrop and rare opportunity to run through the nineteenth-century-style farm, registrants and spectators enjoy raffle prizes, music, and refreshments. Runners receive custom t-shirts and awards are presented after the race.

The Morris County Park Commission’s 5K Trilogy is designed to support fun, healthy competition right here in Morris County. All proceeds of the races go into developing new and exciting programs for patrons of the parks.

Fosterfields Living Historical Farm is a preserved area, located on Kahdena Road in Morris Township. In 1979, Caroline Foster donated the farm to the Morris County Park Commission to be preserved as a "living historical farm."

Fosterfields is a working farm, using the tools, techniques and materials of a turn-of-the-century farm. The site offers numerous reservable meeting rooms, group tours, school programs, special events, summer camp programs and more.
