Alzheimer's Association Presents Free, Half-day Conference for Caregivers

There are many complex issues that caregivers may face while providing care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. This caregiver workshop will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s disease and will address some of the medical and non-drug approaches to care. Caregivers also need to take proper precautions when it comes to creating a safe environment. Practical information will be shared about disaster preparedness and the availability of local emergency resources. Caregivers will also hear an overview of key Medicare benefits that support both themselves and the individual with the disease.
