Speakeasy Art Gallery presents The Art of Bill Ross. The opening reception is tonight, Oct. 7, from 6-9 p.m. The exhibit will run until Nov. 26. Bill Ross uses charcoal and colored pencil on black or toned paper and is known for classically inspired visuals.

Zombiescape

Grab your team and try to survive Zombiescape 8 p.m. Oct. 7. Navigate through the abandoned Bowcraft Amusement Park, trying to find items for survival. Using a map to find your way, be careful not to run, make noise, or do anything else that will attract our swarm of Flesh Eating Zombies.

Indie Author Day at Washington Township Public Library

On Saturday, October 8th, Washington Township Public Library will join hundreds of libraries across the country in celebrating Indie Author Day. Festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. The day is an opportunity to showcase the work of local independent authors, offering readers of all ages a chance to learn about great new books and meet the creators behind them. It will also offer an opportunity for emerging writers to make connections and learn more about their craft and the world of self-publishing.

Enjoy “A Walk through Time” in Morristown’s Historic District

On Sunday, October 9, from 11am – 5pm, Macculloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown, NJ will present “A Walk through Time,” a Historic District house tour generously sponsored by Millea Bros. Auctions+Appraisals. This walking house tour features seven homes, including Macculloch Hall, in the heart of Morristown’s landmarked historic district.

Hands-On Pottery Workshop with Mimi Stadler at METC

The terra cotta factories are gone, but clay decoration continues in New Jersey. Join local potter Mimi Stadler at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) for a special, pottery workshop at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9. With a rolling pin, your two hands, clay tools, and some press molds, you can create a lovely and functional stoneware vessel. The workshop includes glazing and two kiln firings at Mimi Stadler’s studio.
