Cops: Dog Helped Sniff Out Marijuana

The Morris County Sheriff's K-9 unit assisted with a recent marijuana possession arrest in Morris Township, police said.
According to a statement prepared by Lt. Robert Duffy, of the , a 2002 Ford wagon was pulled over on West Hanover Avenue on the evening of July 29.
Ptl. David Kosakowski suspected the presence of marijuana and the K-9 unit was brought into the investigation, police said. A substance believed to be marijuana was located inside the vehicle and the driver Marvin Pierrot, 30, of Fremont, Calif., was arrested on charges of possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, police said.

Pierrot was processed at police headquarters and later released.
