Cops: Man Made Threats With Box Cutter

Bridgewater resident arrested at Morris Twp. business compliex.

Wyming Eng, 44, of Bridgewater, was arrested July 27 on charges of aggravated assault after he threatened another person with a box cutter outside a Morris Township business complex, police said.

According to a report by Lt. Robert Duffy of the Morris Township Police Department, police received a report of a man harassing people outside a business complex at 166 Ridgedale Ave.

Officers responded to the scene just after 2 p.m. and learned that the man had allegedly threatened a passer-by with a box cutter, the report said.

Eng resisted arrest, but was ultimately taken to police headquarters and later, the Morris County Jail, according to the report. He was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, making terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, police said.

The report stated the Morristown Police Department assisted with the investigation.
