Crimestoppers Seeks Information On Armed Robbery At Morris Township Gas Station

Incident featured as "crime of the week."

Crimestoppers has cast a spotlight on a recent armed robbery in Morris Township in hopes of gathering additional information from the public.

According to the Morris Township police, the robbery took place just before 8 p.m. on March 14 at the Express Fuel gas station, located at the corner of Sussex Turnpike and Gaston Road. Two men–one wielding a knife–reportedly assaulted two gas station attendants and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Injuries to the two gas station attendants were not life-threatening.

The robbers are still at large, police say.

Police say one of the men was described as being in his early 30 and more than 6 feet in height, the other approximately 5-foot-6. Police are looking for a gold 2001 two-door Ford Explorer, in which the men were said to have fled the site, traveling east on Sussex in the direction of Morristown.
