Here's the scoop on five upcoming flower/plant events.

Flower and plant events galore are coming up at the
- You Need To Know About The Dahlia Show: The Dahlia Society's show will be held on Sat., Aug. 20, from 1-3 p.m. This show is free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to bring their dahlias from home for judging in the morning.
- You Need To Know About The Great Swamp Bonsai Society: The society meets on Tue., Sept. 13 from 7-10 p.m. in the Haggerty Center. Meetings are free and open to the public.
- You Need To Know About The African Violet Society of Morris County: The society meets on Tue., Sept. 14 from 7-10 p.m. in the Haggerty Center. Meetings are free and open to the public.
- You Need To Know About The New Jersey Chrysanthemum Society : On Fri., Sept. 23, from 7:15–9:30 p.m., the society will hold a technical session on how to prepare your exhibits for the Annual Chrysanthemum Show on October 8, 2011. Free.
- You Need To Know About The Pressed Flower Art Workshop: On Saturday, September 10, from 1-4 p.m., artist Lizabeth Billingsley will teach you the art of flower pressing and send you home with your own custom design ready for framing. Children ages 9+ welcome.
