Free Seminar and Balance Screening: “The Only Thing Falling This Autumn Should Be the Leaves”

Family First HomeCare and FOX Rehabilitation will be hosting a
free seminar titled “The Only Thing Falling this Autumn should be the Leaves”
on October 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at 374 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains.  The guest speaker is Naomi Jeffrey, Physical
Therapist for FOX Rehabilitation.  Each
year, one in every three adults age 65 and older falls.  However, just because one ages, does NOT mean
that it is normal to have falls.  This
informative seminar will cover the many factors that affect fall risk such as
hearing, vision, medication, medical conditions and home safety and tips on how
to prevent falls when possible.  In
addition to the informative discussion, Mrs. Jeffrey will offer balance
screening tests to interested attendees.
