Length: 8 hours. Course Fee: $90

This course sets the standard on Professional CPR/AED certifications for everyone with a duty to act. American Red Cross training is based on more than 95 years of experience in emergency preparedness and response. And, because the Red Cross works side by side with doctors, nurses, police, fire and other healthcare professionals in all kinds of emergency situations, we know what you need to be the best first responder you can be.

Learning objectives include:

• · Identify the responsibilities and characteristics of a professional rescuer.
• · Understand legal considerations that affect a professional rescuer.
• · Demonstrate how to perform an initial assessment.
• · Demonstrate how to perform rescue breathing adult, child and infant victims.
• · Demonstrate how to use a BVM with two rescuers.
• · Demonstrate how to care for an obstructed airway for adult, child and infant victims.
• · Describe when and how to perform CPR for adult, child and infant victims.
• · Describe when and how to use an AED.

Certifications Issued:

CPR/AED – Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider: 2 year validity
