Corporate scandals and Ponzi schemes have eroded trust in the business community.  Yet trusted relationships are critical, particularly in service firms.  Charles H. Green, co-author of "The Trusted Advisor" and author of "Trust-based Selling," will discuss how to use the principles of trusted relationships to guide complex, high-ticket sales with the Wharton Club of New Jersey at 6 p.m. Jan. 20 at Cucina Calandra on Route 46 in Fairfield.

Green, founder and chief executive officer of Trusted Advisor Associates, works with such blue-chip firms as Deloitte, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft and Kraft Foods to improve trust in sales, internal trust between organizations and trusted advisor relationships with clients.  He will discuss:

  • Myths about trust
  • The six toughest sales questions
  • The six "trust temperaments"
  • Ten trustworthy things you can do tomorrow
  • Whether trust and sales can co-exist

A graduate of Harvard Business School, Green has spent 20 years in management consulting, focusing on trust since 1997.
