Morris Plains Borough Council took several small actions

Work around the township was discussed at the Thursday, March 15, borough council meeting

1) Pond: The council awarded a bid for water treatment of the pond at Community Park to Acquatic Tech, Inc., of Clifton at a cost of $1,200.

2) Road Work: Bids will be accepted for the Sun Valley Way and Laurel Springs paving projct on May 1.

3) Shade Tree Commission The Beautification Committee will work with the Shade Tree Commission to seek a grant for tree planting around the borough.

4) Speedwell: Borough engineer Leon Hall told the borough council the plans and specifications for improvements to Speedwell Avenue are nearly done.
