Incumbents to Run Unopposed for School Board Seats in November
Three seats up for grabs, but none will be challenged.
The Morris School District wonāt see many surprises come November, as three incumbent board members filed for re-election and will run unopposed.
As the 4 p.m. Monday filing deadline came and went, current Board President and Morris Township representative Leonard Posey, along with incumbents Teresa Murphy and Lisa Pollak all filed petitions to run.
The seats each come with a three-year term on the nine-member board.

While the campaign season may be quiet, the board is still tasked with hiring a new superintendent to replace soon-to-retire Dr. Thomas Ficarra, who announced his departure earlier this summer.
It is expected that an interim schools chief will be put in place while the board goes through the hiring process.
