Liquid Church Plans 4-County Community Service Event Campaign In Time For Thanksgiving
700+ Volunteers Will Work Through November 14-15 Weekend So Families In Need Can Be Served By Social Service Agencies Thanksgiving Week

This weekend, Liquid Church of New Jersey is mobilizing over 700 volunteers and leaders to pitch-in on service projects helping families in need in communities across the state. The four-county effort has been in the planning since August by local volunteer coordinators and leaders in each community. The community service campaign aims to complete all projects in time so that the service agencies involved can serve their disadvantaged clients during Thanksgiving week.
The non-denominational Christian Church which meets every weekend at four locations across NJ is partnering with five social service agencies in Essex, Middlesex, Morris and Union Counties. Plans include intensive community service outreach projects to be completed during a single weekend ahead of Thanksgiving. Some plans include 24-hour shifts of volunteer work. Over $90,000 has been committed to materials and resources needed to complete all of the service projects this month. The results will allow the partner agencies to help impact hundreds of families in need in time for Thanksgiving this year.
“It humbling to see the hundreds and hundreds of people within our church stepping up to support the amazing organizations we are partnering with this Thanksgiving season,” noted Tim Lucas, lead pastor of Liquid Church of NJ.

“Jesus’ model of love reminds us we need to go the distance so that every child and family in our own communities should feel loved, especially during the upcoming holiday season,” said Lucas.

Founded in 2001 by Lead Pastor Tim Lucas, the church’s vision is to “take church to the people” with campuses in Morristown, Mountainside New Brunswick, and Nutley.
