
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, on Monday, March 14 at 3:48 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. When the officer was getting the driver's credentials, he reportedly noticed a smell of alcohol on the man's breath, along with other signs of impairment. Police say that, following a series of standardized field sobriety tests, the officer arrested Robert J. Govelitz, 20, of Morris Plains, on a charge of driving while intoxicated. The defendant was processed on the charge and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
