IN SHORT
Morristown found themselves in a tight one heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, tied 0-0. But just like that, the Colonials bats exploded for nine runs behind seven singles and two walks. Starting pitcher Mollie Forman was nearly perfect, striking out 13 batters, while allowing just six hits and one earned run, leading Morristown to an MCT win.

COLONIAL OF THE GAME
Mollie Forman—
The Morristown starting pitcher threw a complete game, fanning 13 Red Hawk batters while allowing just six hits and one earned run.

“Mollie did a fantastic job. As far as strikeouts, that’s been her best performance. She’s always tough on the mound for us. She’s a real good competitor, doesn’t walk a lot of batters and lets her defense play behind her. Today she did a lot of it on her own.” – Head Coach Kim Jackson

OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES
Ali Klinger (Morristown), 2-for-4 with two singles, one RBI and one stolen base; Betsy Boehler (Morristown), 2-for-3 with two RBIs; Kelsey Principe (Parsippany), 2-for-4 with two singles.

THEY SAID IT
"This was a nice win. It was a little nerve racking when it was 0-0 going into the fifth. Both teams were quiet with the bats. But we strung together the hits and it kind of became contagious.” - Jackson

Up Next—Montville on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Frelinghuysen Field in Morristown.
