NEW HORIZONS BAND OF MORRIS COUNTY

New Horizons Band of Morris County is seeking new members for a concert band comprised of people over the age of fifty.

Musical dreams become a reality as the New Horizons Music Association announces the expansion of the New Horizons Band of Morris County. The Band offers seniors an opportunity to play in a warm, fun and supportive environment. Playing with New Horizons is truly a transforming experience, enabling new friendships, mutual support and team work. Participating in New Horizons becomes an important part of the daily lives of its members. Although many members are still employed for those retired, the band restores the intellectual stimulation and opportunity that had previously been provided by the workplace. Many played in school, then stashed their instrument in the closet while the demands of work and family took center stage. The band rehearses throughout the year 9:30AM -11:30 AM on Tuesdays at the Lake Arrowhead Club in Denville. Optional ensembles follow. Currently there are twenty-three members. Concerts are given at assisted living facilities, malls and other venues. Potential members are encouraged to join, visit for a rehearsal, sit in and play or meet the group for coffee break at 10:30. All levels and all instruments are welcome. Please email newhorizonsmorriscounty@gmail.com or call Judie Oliver at 973 625-3414
