Odor, Reports Of Sickness Prompt Closure Of Morris Co. Health Building

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Morris Township health building closed briefly on Monday after an odor left a number of people feeling ill, officials said.

On Monday afternoon, a small number of workers in the Atlantic Health building at 299 Madison Avenue reported feeling sick after smelling an odor, an Atlantic Health spokesperson said.

The incident prompted first responders to arrive at the scene and evacuate the building. After a "thorough investigation," no hazardous materials were found in the building, according to Atlantic Health officials.

The building reopened shortly after the sweep, officials added.
