Prosecutor: Gun Shots Hit Morris Township Home

No injuries reported in incident that remains under investigation.

Gun shots struck an East Hanover Avenue home in Morris Township late Wednesday night, but no one was injured, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

According to a statement released Thursday by Capt. Jeffrey Paul, a spokesman for Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, East Hanover Avenue residents reported what they believed were fireworks discharged in the area Wednesday night at about 11:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed "multiple shots were discharged from a firearm impacting a residence on East Hanover Avenue," the prosecutor's office said.

No one was injured in the incident, the prosecutor's office said.

Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, , Morristown Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Section remained on the scene Thursday morning.
