On April 14, 2012 from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the Rotary Club of Morris Plains will be hosting “A Derby Night at the Races” at to help raise money for various causes and new and ongoing projects supported by the Club.
The event will include a beefsteak dinner with beer, wine and soft drinks and video cast horseracing and prizes. The festivities kick off with a the dinner, served at 6:30 p.m.. "Post time" marks the start of six horse races.
During the course of the evening, guests will be able to place bets on the horse races. Between each race, there will be intermissions where corporate sponsors’ messages will be displayed on the main screen. After each race, the guests who won their bets will be able to redeem their winnings. Guests exchange their winnings for tickets making them eligible for prize baskets that will be raffled off at the end of the evening.

The Rotary is urging community members to support the event by:
- Donating services or merchandise for raffle prizes/door prizes
- Corporate Sponsorships (Intermission audio/visual message)
- Attending the event and inviting your friends and family
