Teens Arrested In Morris Twp Home Invasion That Sent 2 To Hospital

MORRIS TWP, NJ— Two teenagers have been arrested after police say they assaulted two Morris Township residents during a break-in earlier this month.

Brian Baylor-Washington from Morristown and Miracle Vassell from Howell, both 18, were arrested by Morris Township Police earlier this week. A third actor is still unidentified and at large, police said.

Police say the two teens broke into a home on Cleveland Ave in the Collinsville section of town on Feb. 2, assaulting and robbing two occupants.

The occupants, both men, were taken to Morristown Medical Center, treated and released, Patch reported at the time.

Vassell is charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree burglary, two counts of second degree aggravated assault, third degree theft, three counts of third degree weapons possession, and second degree conspiracy to commit robbery.

Baylor-Washington is charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree burglary, two counts of second degree aggravated assault, third degree theft, three counts of third degree weapons possession, and second degree conspiracy to commit robbery.

Both are behind held in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.

Anonymous tips played a large part in the arrest of Baylor-Washington and Vassell, police said.

"Information obtained directly from an anonymous source through Morris County Crime Stoppers had a significant impact on the arrest of the individuals," Capt. Mark DiCarlo said in a press release. "Please take advantage of providing anonymous information pertaining to criminal offenses at morriscrimestoppers.org."
