Volunteers Sought for Morristown's Parks and Ponds Clean Up Day
September 27 event hosted by Clean Communities of Morristown.

Everyone wants to live in a clean community, but it takes work to keep it that way.
Morristown residents will have the ability to pitch in and help keep their town’s parks and ponds clean this September, as the annual fall clean-up day will be held at Speedwell Lake.
The event is seeking volunteers to help from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 27.

Litter clean up and invasive plant removal and water protection education displays will be part of the event, where volunteers will receive work assignments upon registration that morning.
Residents will work from 9 to 11:30 a.m. At that time all volunteers will head back to Speedwell for a cookout for volunteers with water education activities and give-aways, according to Kathleen Margiotta, coordinator of Clean Communities of Morristown.
