Young Artists Shown at Convent Station Bank

Montessori students art work will be hung at Provident

Young artists from The Montessori Children’s Academy will have their work displayed at the Provident Bank in Convent Station from Monday, Feb, 6 through Saturday, Feb.11.

The school and the bank collaborated to post the show of the children’s work in various media.

Special showings for family and friends will be held Wednesday, Feb.8, from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Feb.11, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Montessori Children’s Academy opened in Madison in 1999 and has grown to include three campuses with the Convent Station campus opening to replace Madison in 2010. The other campuses are in Chatham and Short Hills. The school serves more than 450 families. It offers programs for children from 2 ½ years of age through fifth grade.

In Convent Station, children from age 2 ½ through kindergarten are served. Art is included in the curriculum and is part of special enrichment programs offered before and after the regular school day. The children learn about artists and work in various media.

The Provident Bank is at 250 Madison Ave. The Montessori Children’s Academy is located next door, at 6 Kahn Rd.
