100 MPH Chase On 287 Through Morris Twp Ends In Drug Arrests
The driver and his passenger were arrested after the high speed chase.

MORRIS, NJ — Morris County Park police arrested two for drug possession after a 100 mile per hour chase down Route 287 in Morris Township, police told Patch.
Park Police were in the middle of a DWI enforcement patrol then they attempted to pull a car over for a moving violating, police told Patch. The car sped off, down Route 287 and off Exit 33 before striking a telephone pole on a local road.
The short chase topped out at speeds of 100 miles per hour, according to police.

Both people in the car were arrested. The driver, Rashon A. Carter, 30, of North Plainfield, was arrested and charged with eluding, possession of marijuana, being under the influence of marijuana, driving while intoxicated, theft by unlawful means of conveyance and driving with suspended driver's license. The passenger, Keyanah C. Llyod-Bey, 29, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Carter remains in the Morris County Correctional Facility with an upcoming court date; Lloyd-Bey was released with an upcoming court date.
