MORRISTOWN, NJ — From Christmas on the Green to Santa on a Harley, there are plenty of ways to get into the seasonal spirit this weekend in Greater Morristown. Here are several activities taking place throughout the area.
Christmas Festival
Christmas on the Morristown Green continues this weekend. Family activities, entertainment and Santa visits and photos will take place from 12-7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays throughout December until Dec. 19. Activities are free for visitors, with the exception of a $10 fee for a photo with Santa. See more info here.

Santa's rides include more than just a sleigh. Enjoy free gift wrapping, holiday treats and photos with Santa at Garden State Harley-Davidson (1775 Route 10, Morris Plains). The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Find out more here.

Christmas for the Homeless
t's the season of giving, and one Christmas event will combine the Christmas spirit with help for the homeless. Local nonprofit POWER CHANGES LIVES will hold Christmas for the Homeless, a pop-up care village that will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Morristown.
All homeless guests will receive a backpack with hygiene kits, a hot shower, clothing, a hot meal and access to healthcare providers on-site. Theatre of Light
Soon, the universal symbol of light will illuminate Morristown and transform the Vail Mansion Plaza. "Theatre of Light" will take place from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the plaza. Theatre of Light is a free Arts in the Community event from the Mayo Performing Arts Center, which is adjacent to the Vail Mansion Plaza. A curtain of stars and lights will welcome the community onto the plaza, and church bells will signal the beginning of the event. Morris County Historical Society Welcomes Holidays
At Acorn Hall, the trees are trimmed and the dining room table is set with sparkling crystal for that special time of year. A traditional upside-down Christmas tree hanging in the vestibule greets visitors as they step back in time and into rooms decorated with brightly-lit trees and mantelpieces festooned with glitter and gold. Check out the display through Dec. 19 at Acorn Hall (68 Lafayette Dr., Morristown). Admission costs $3-6. Find out more here.
