Basking Ridge, N.J. (Monday, April 29, 2014) – Affinity Federal Credit Union hosted a Jeans Day on Friday, April 25th to raise money for the James Monroe Elementary School, one of Edison’s elementary schools recently destroyed by a fire.
Affinity employees were allowed to wear jeans by donating money to support the fundraising efforts. Both members and non-members also stopped in to give cash donations. All money raised is going to Edison’s school district to help replace the James Monroe Elementary School’s collection of books.
Created in 2005, the Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation was established further the efforts of giving back to the community. The foundation partners with diverse groups that thrive on the efforts of volunteers and act to promote a sense of dignity, responsibility, advocacy, and solid social citizenship.
