MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A disorderly patient was arrested over the holiday weekend after destroying a Morris County hospital and threatening its staff, according to police.
On Sunday, just after 11:30 a.m., police were called to Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville on reports of a disorderly patient.
Authorities discovered Alex J. DeGraw, 26, of Jefferson, had threatened multiple healthcare workers before ripping down a large portion of a drop ceiling, police told Patch.
Officials say DeGraw caused around $20,000 in damage to the hospital's property.
He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, terroristic threats, and endangering another person.
Police booked DeGraw and released him pending court proceedings.
