'Awesome Kid': 3-Year-Old Mourned After Morris County Tragedy
A GoFundMe has been launched for Liam's burial, along with helping his sister in the aftermath of his death.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — It took little for Liam Christian to smile. You could tell him to fill up a shopping cart, and the 3-year-old would come back with a stick of gum. He also shared an unbreakable bond with his 5-year-old sister, Laylah.
"He was just happy having attention and doing something fun," says a GoFundMe in his honor. "It’s very sad that he wasn’t able to see all the offerings this world had for him but he will be able to look over his sister (Laylah) and protect her from what this vicious world can look like."
Liam and Laylah experienced the world's cruelty all too early. Edwin Urbina and Krystal Straw face charges related to the killing of a 3-year-old and covering up the circumstances around his death, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Authorities have not released the victim's name, but loved ones publicly identified Liam. Read more: NJ Mom Told Daughter To Lie About Brother's Death: Affidavit

Laylah was Liam's everything, according to the GoFundMe. Even until the end, she always made sure he was OK.
As Laylah was transported to a safe place, she asked the social worker, "Where is the bear?"

"It's in with the rest of the toys," the social worker said.
"OK," Laylah said, "because that is my brother’s bear, and I have to keep it for him.”
Donations will support Liam's burial service. The rest will go into a trust account that only Laylah's aunt and/or she will be able to access until she's 18 years old.
A foundation will also start under Liam's name that will bring awareness to children who have been physically abused or forced to endure unwarranted circumstances. Depending on expenses, they will try to provide 10 Morris County kids with school supplies in his name. See the Instagram page.
"He will rest peacefully," the GoFundMe says, "but his name will continue to be a platform to prevent this terrible, horrific crime from happening again."
