Jersey Central Power & Light Employees Help Feed America

In Morris County, JCP&L contributed $2,685 to the Interfaith Food Pantry from its 2012 Harvest for Hunger campaign.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) employees raised more than $9,600 and contributed nearly one ton of food for their 2012 Harvest for Hunger campaign.

JCP&L employees hosted in-office yard and bake sales, held auctions and sold lunches among other activities during the month-long campaign. The dollars raised translate into more than 67,000 meals.  Volunteers from JCP&L also give of their time, helping disitribute food to several area food banks.

"Our employee's compassion and generosity is outstanding," said Donald M. Lynch, president, JCP&L.  "They are helping put food on the tables of their neighbors, helping them through tough times."

In the last decade, JCP&L employees have contributed more than $110,000 and nearly 9 tons of food which represents the equivalent of more than 750,000 meals.
