As we just honored Earth Day and as we are watching catastrophic actions of military and empire in the Middle East and around the world, here is an urgent and timely film for all of us who care about the environment, about peace, about clean food and water, about toxic chemicals and pesticides, about humanity and hope for future generations. All of our struggles are connected, so let's come together to figure out how to deal with them all in a connected way.

"Exempt from international climate agreements and rarely scrutinized in mainstream reporting, the Pentagon is the world’s single largest institutional polluter. Combining investigative journalism, striking visuals, and stories from impacted communities, this film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences."

"Earth’s Greatest Enemy", the second feature film project by Abby Martin, is a groundbreaking anti-imperialist environmental documentary. With the increasing rhetoric that "might makes right", we have to remember that the future of humanity is contingent on ending the use of force by powerful nations to push their agendas. We must unite and decide peacefully how to share this world and its resources, or we will have none left for our children and future generations.

Please come and watch this film with us and then join the conversation and learn how to take action.

Mutual Morris is a mutual aid group started in 2020 to respond to immediate crises in our community and to find ways to build long-term alternatives to the harmful parts of our way of life. We have provided food, diapers, help with housing and transportation and other needs to thousands of families all across Morris County and we know that the root systemic causes of poverty, homelessness, loneliness, and hopelessness must also be dealt with, not just the symptoms. We believe another world is possible, and we are working to bring it to life.

This event is a Mutual Morris event, not hosted, organized, or endorsed by the Morris County Library.
