Christmas Festival, Santa Claus Are Coming To Morristown
Children can enter the Santa House this year. But accompanying adults will need proof of vaccination to get in without a mask.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morristown Green is about to become a winter wonderland. The Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green kicks off with Santa's Arrival at 5 p.m. Nov. 28.
Last year, Santa Claus sat behind glass because of the pandemic. But children will be able to enter the Santa House this year. Accompanying adults must show proof of vaccination to enter without a mask.
For more than a century, generations of residents and visitors have flocked to downtown Morristown to enjoy the seasonal festivities. It began in 1913 with a small group of volunteers lighting a single star atop one of the Green's trees.

Since that time, the event has expanded with the Santa House, holiday music and crafts, a vintage-style, oversized rocking horse, ice-sculpture demonstrations and free rides around the Green on a miniature electric trail. The Morristown Partnership, which is presenting the event, has a full slate of activities for this year's festival.
Santa's Arrival will coincide with the "Countdown to the Lighting of the Green," which will feature seasonal decor, thousands of lights on the Green and lamppost wreaths throughout town.
