Fatal Shooting: 2 Men Shot, 1 Dead In New Jersey Town

The New Jersey State Police are investigating a shooting in New Jersey that left one man dead and another clinging to life.

The New Jersey State Police are investigating a shooting in New Jersey that left one man dead and one in critical condition.

On Tuesday, at approximately 6:57 a.m., troopers responded to 35 Buttzville Road in White Township on a report of a medical emergency. Upon arrival at the residence, troopers discovered Randolph Meisten, 67, of Oxford, unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

As troopers searched the house for additional victims or a possible suspect, they discovered Peter Ross, 57, of Oxford, unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

Ross was pronounced dead at the scene and Mr. Meisten was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center and was listed in critical condition.

The case remains under investigation and detectives are working with the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. "We are not searching for suspects at this time," according to the State Police.
