Free Nonprofit Housing Expo Returns in April
The Housing Partnership continues their mission to help NJ families with a free housing expo this April in Randolph.

The Housing Partnership continues the celebration of its 30th anniversary this year with its annual Housing Expo to be held at County College of Morris on April 30th from 12 PM to 4 PM. This free event will feature workshops with housing professionals, educational opportunities, and a chance for the community to have their housing questions answered. Families and individuals are invited to attend and enjoy all of the great resources being provided. They can register for the event here: https://conta.cc/36MOlA
Jessica Padilla Gonzalez is The Housing Partnership’s Executive Director. She is thrilled to be welcoming the community back for an in-person Expo after having to cancel last year’s event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She informs us that, “The goal for this Expo is to provide information and support to aspiring homeowners and to encourage those who are currently renting to explore the possibility of owning their own homes. Home ownership has been shown to decrease income disparity and allows individuals to build their own wealth instead of renting, which builds wealth for landlords but doesn't provide any long-term assets for tenants.”
Amanda Parker, The Chair of the Housing Partnership’s Board of Directors, is excited about this year’s Expo, the first since her tenure as Board Chair began last year. "The last two years have been challenging for us all, but particularly for the population the Housing Partnership serves. We are eager to bring back this signature event for the first time since 2019 to share resources and bring our services directly to our clients and our shared community. We are extremely thankful to our partners in mission at CCM for hosting us once again and look forward to continuing our work together to serve Morris County families and individuals."

Ms. Parker’s infectious enthusiasm, incisive intelligence, and unbridled passion for helping others has been a perfect compliment to Ms. Padilla Gonzalez’ work as Executive Director – the growth of The Housing Partnership’s programs, staff, and reach over the past year speaks volumes about their leadership and seamless synergy.
All of that works for the good of the community, as The Housing Partnership’s plans to celebrate their anniversary this year include two large in-person events (the first of which is their Expo); growth of their free rental and foreclosure counseling programs; several initiatives to benefit local businesses; more free educational workshops available to the community than ever before; a major role in the planning and execution of the Cultural Connections Festival held in The Housing Partnership’s home of Dover, New Jersey; and more.
