How Much Is COVID Spreading In Greater Morristown?

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The trajectory of the coronavirus remains unpredictable with schools returning and weather likely cooling from here on out. But here's what we know about Morristown.

Morris County averaged 69.2 new cases per day in the past week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health. Here's how much cases have spread in the area:

  • Morristown saw 24 new cases from Sept. 8 to Friday, bringing the town to 2,339 cases since the pandemic began. That's a 1.04 percent increase in cases in the past nine days.
  • Morris Township had 23 new infections in that span, totaling 1,713 cases since the pandemic began — a 1.36 percent increase of its total cases in 10 days.
  • Morris Plains's cases went from 602 to 606 — a 0.66 percent increase in 10 days.

  • Morristown Medical Center: 28.66 percent of ICU beds available
  • Saint Clare's Denville Hospital: 69.23 percent of ICU beds available
  • Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Morris County (Dover): ICU bed data unavailable
  • Overlook Medical Center (Summit): 53.62 percent of ICU beds available
  • Saint Barnabas Medical Center (Livingston): 52.63 percent of ICU beds available
