James Patterson Scheduled To Close Out Morristown Festival Of Books
The world's best-selling author will speak at both the Main Festival Closing Event and a special presentation at KidFest.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The renowned best-selling author James Patterson will close out the Morristown Festival of Books when he participates in a special closing event on Saturday, Oct. 8.
Patterson, who has sold more than 300 million books in his career, will speak at the Presbyterian Church on the Green, 57 E. Park Place, Morristown, at 5:15 p.m.
Carol Fitzgerald of The Book Report Network will join him in conversation and the session will also include a Q&A with the audience, officials said.

Each $50 event ticket includes a hardcover copy of Patterson's latest thriller, Blowback. According to officials, Blowback investigates whether anyone is above the law.

Patterson will also be attending the free event, KidFest, which will take place on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Presbyterian Parish House, located at 65 South Street.
Patterson will interact with his many young fans by highlighting three of his children's books: Ali Cross: The Secret Detective, The Elephant Girl, and The Girl in the Castle.
Patterson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2019 in recognition of his extraordinary imagination and support for literacy in the country. He received the National Book Foundation's Literarian Award, as well as the Edgar and Emmy Awards, for his outstanding contributions to the American literary community.
The Morristown Festival of Books takes place on Oct. 7 and 8 at various places around Morristown. Authors will hold one-hour question and answer sessions, and book sales and signings will take place at Vail Mansion.
The all-day, free main festival on Saturday, Oct. 8, features over 60 award-winning fiction, nonfiction, cooking, sports, young adult and children's authors
The authors will speak and answer questions at five locations along South Street in historic Morristown, all within walking distance of each other, including St. Peter's Church Sanctuary and Parish House, The Presbyterian Church Parish House, The Church of the Redeemer and the Morristown/Morris Township Library.
