Law Enforcement Night Rescheduled Due To Nor'easter

It will be rescheduled for later this month.

MORRIS TWP, NJ — The upcoming nor'easter has pushed back law Enforcement Night at Mennen Arena to the next week, officials said.

Originally scheduled for March 2, the event will now take place on March 9 at 7 p.m.

"The forecast is calling for 3 inches of rain and very heavy winds, therefore making it impossible to display machinery and vehicles outside. In addition, we have to consider the fact that should the storm be as hazardous as predicted, there is always the chance that officers and first responders might be called to duty," communications director Michele Sylvin said.

The event, hosted by the Morris Area Coalition for Education and Positive Choices, brings together law enforcement officers and the community. Kids can get a first-hand look at different emergency vehicles, ride police horses, try on riot gear and handcuffs, and meet local law enforcement officers.
