Man Fatally Shoots Self at Morris County Gun Range: Prosecutor

Death inside Randolph business is second instance in last three months.

For the second time in less than three months a man fatally shot himself at the RTSP Shooting Range in Randolph.

The man died Monday night at the hospital after shooting himself inside the Route 10 business, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.

The call came into Randolph Police at 4:59 p.m. who arrived on scene and found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, Knapp said. Authorities say the incident is isolated and no other patrons were involved.

A 21-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the same location in September.
