Melted Cheese: Decades-Old Morristown Eatery to Close Doors

Popular South Street eatery will shutter Aug. 25, report says.

A poor economy, a declining customer base and rising rates combine to make a sandwich concoction no one wants to eat.

Because of that, Morristown’s one-of-a-kind lunchtime specialty shop, C’est Cheese, is shutting its doors Aug. 25, according to morristowngreen.com.

The employer of so many locals, especially high school students, over the past three decades on South Street, Patrice Anderson is hoping someone will come in and “breathe new life into it,” the report said.

Entrepreneurs interested in revitalizing the shop can purchase equipment and inventory for $30,000 with another $30,000 investment to spruce up the business, according to the report. The shop’s liquor license has a price tag of $225,000.
