Men Shot BB Guns, Smoked Pot Near Pond: Morris Twp Police

MORRIS TWP, NJ — Two men were arrested after police say they smoked pot and shot BB guns into a pond in Morris Township.

A Morris Township police officer was conducting a routine patrol of Jones Pond on Wednesday afternoon when he saw two men near the lake. The officer said the two men were shooting a BB gun into the lake while smoking marijuana.

Both men were arrested. Santiago Montescatano, 20, from Dover, was charged with a possession of false identification, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Daniel Gomez, 21, Rockaway, was charged with weapons possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
