NJ Teen Accepted Into All 8 Ivy League Schools
If that wasn't impressive enough, she also got into Stanford.
DENVILLE, NJ — College acceptance season is one of the most nerve-wracking times in a high schooler's career, but for one Denville student, it's been nothing short of spectacular.
Morris Hills High School senior Ifeoma White-Thorpe was accepted to all eight Ivy League schools — and Stanford, too.
"I want to go into global health and study biology, and so many of them have great research facilities, so I was like, I might as well just shoot my shot and apply," White-Thorpe told ABC 7.

She isn't sure where she wants to go yet, telling ABC 7 financial aid will be a factor.
"I got into Harvard early action so I figured I'll just go there, so then I got into all the others, and I was like, wait, now I don't know where I want to go," White-Thorpe told the station.

"Ifeoma is a remarkable young lady who represents herself, her family, and Morris Hills High School very well. Her acceptance into every Ivy League school clearly indicates the dedication to excellence in education that she and her family have fostered throughout her formative academic years with her teachers at every level. As the SGA President, Ifeoma also represents Morris Hills as the Student Government Association President at our Board of Education Meetings. We are extremely proud of her accomplishments and look forward to her continued success," Morris Hills Regional District Superintendent James Jencarelli told Patch.
White-Thorpe had already made a name for herself with her essay-writing skills. She won the National Liberty Museum's Selma Speech and Essay Contest in 2015 (you can watch her recite it below) and won the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3401's Voice of Democracy content earlier this year for her essay, "My Responsibility to America."
In her free time, she runs on the track and field team and is a member of the student government.
