Morris School District Makes Schedule Change Ahead of Winter Storm

Freezing rain, snow expected overnight into Monday.

Before any precipitation could hit the ground, the Morris School District made the call to start classes two hours later than usual Monday morning.

The district called for a two-hour delayed openings for Monday, making the decision just before 8 p.m. Sunday night.

Freezing rain and snow is expected to fall overnight and into Monday. The National Weather Service issued both a Hazardous Weather Outlook and a Winter Weather Advisory for much of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, saying a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will arrive on Sunday night and Monday morning.
