Morristown Drug Dealer, Bloods Gang Member Faces 13-Year Prison Term

Jhana Wilfong admitted to selling cocaine to undercover cops earlier this year, report says.

A Morristown man has admitted using his Flagler Street apartment as a distribution center to sell large amounts of cocaine over a five month period and could face up to 13 years in prison.

According to dailyrecord.com, Jhana Wilfong, 38, pleaded guilty last week in state Superior Court in Morristown on charges of first-degree distribution of five ounces of cocaine between Jan. 12 and Feb. 23, 2014.

Joining Wilfong in the guilty plea was his supplier, Jetay Hutchins, 39, of Roselle, who would bring the drugs to the Morristown apartment, the report said. Wilfong’s baby was present during many of the drug transactions, and a changing table was also used to store paraphernalia, the report said.

Both men were arrested in March after a months-long undercover investigation named Operation Splash Down. Wilfong, a known Bloods gang member, was often referred to as Splash.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp named Wilfong as a major drug dealer throughout Morris County earlier this year. The dealer was on probation during the investigation.

The undercover operation resulted in the law enforcement purchase of some $55,000 of more than five ounces of cocaine from Wilfong and his associates, which led to his arrest.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 19.
